AP Calculus is an Advanced Placement course which covers materials of two semesters of college Calculus. This course will prepare students to take either the AB or BC AP Calculus exam to earn college credits. Students will need to check with specific colleges for requirements to earn the credits. Topics covered in this course include: derivatives and their applications; rates of change; velocity and acceleration; integrals and their applications; solids of revolution; accumulations of rates of change; sequences and series; and vectors. The class will also spend some time exploring and programming in JAVA programming language. All students must have a graphing calculator, preferably a TI-84+.
